Sara started her career in Singapore as an Associate Producer at Channel NewsAsia. She produced both documentaries and current affairs programs, covering local and regional stories. Moving to Los Angeles, she moved out of the documentary world and went into feature film & TV development with the late Allison Shearmur (The Hunger Games). She continued her education venturing into commercials and music videos with Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine Of the Spotless Mind).  

Returning to Singapore, she has been a staff writer on Netflix and Mediacorp shows. She blends the best practices of Hollywood with her Singaporean sensibilities as she continues to develop, write & produce stories through her company
Stranger Than Fiction.
